Who's behind
this site

Arizona Home Report (AHR) is operated by HERO REI, a real estate investing business that is veteran and first responder owned. We publish housing numbers for all 15 Arizona counties, and a free report on your own home.

How we make money

  1. 01

The reports and the data are free

There is no charge and no account for the value range, the report on your own home or any market page.

  2. 02

    We buy homes

Some of the people who ask for a report end up talking with us about selling their home. Sometimes we are the right buyer.

When we buy a home, we usually pay less than a retail buyer would.

  3. 03

We sell some of them with owner financing

Some of the homes we buy, we sell with owner financing to people a bank turned down: they pay us each month instead of a bank.

Every home we sell to a buyer closes through a title company, with title insurance and independent escrow.

    Owner-financed homes

Where the numbers come from

Every market report figure is computed from the sources below, read from the data each time a page is built.

  • Zillow ResearchTypical home values and typical rents
  • Realtor.com ResearchHomes for sale, new listings, price cuts and days on market
  • Redfin Data CenterHomes sold, months of supply and sale-to-list price
  • Freddie MacThe weekly average 30-year mortgage rate
  • U.S. Census BureauIncomes, ages, home ownership, housing units, property taxes paid, population, migration and building permits
  • U.S. TreasuryHomeowners insurance premiums by ZIP code, for 2022, brought to today with the Bureau of Labor Statistics price index for homeowners insurance premiums
  • Arizona county recordsRecorded sale prices from Affidavits of Property Value (A.R.S. § 11-1133), and property details from county assessors
  • A private property data companyEquity, mortgage and loan-type estimates for owner-occupied homes, and the date of some homes' last sale

Sales recorded with an exemption under A.R.S. § 11-1134 have no public affidavit, so they are not included and our sold lists do not show every sale.
